Born on the 6th of February 1988 in Bruxelles, Lara de Liedekerke was raised in a horse-minded family.
She got her first Shetland pony when she was 7 and the horse virus has never left her since.
Extremely ambitious and motivated, Lara has a preference for riding young horses and training them up to the best of their abilities thanks to her dedicated work and perseverance.
Nooney Blue, her top horse, arrived at 5 years old without ever having seen a cross obstacle in her whole life.
Presently Lara has a team of 7 horses, ranging between 4 and 13 years old. Three of them are homebred.
Next to her riding career, Lara is obtaining her master degree in management studies at the l'ICHEC institute, Brussels (Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) having obtained her Bachelor end of 2010.
Lara is a dedicated and committed rider combining her equestrian career with her studies and family life.
Achievements :
· Belgian champion between 2004 and 2007 (poneys, juniors and young riders)
· Took part in 6 European championships between 2003 and 2011
- 2003 : Necarne Castle(IRL) poneys : 6th, bronze team medal
- 2004 : Jaskowo (POL) poneys : 10th
- 2005 : Saumur (FRA) juniors : 6th
- 2008 : Kreuth (GER) : young riders : 11th
- 2009 : Waregem (BEL) : young riders : 4th
- 2011 : Lumhulen (GER) : seniors
· Entered in the CHIO*** Aachen 2010 and 2011
· Took part in the World Equestrian Games (USA) 2010.
· Entered on 3 occasions in the World Championships for young Horses, Lion d'Angers.
